About us

 

The family run business Klippan Yllefabrik was started when Jöns Petter Magnusson bought a wool spinning mill at Klippan in 1879.

 

 

 

 

 

The business grew from year to year and Klippan Yllefabrik's main business was to manufacture and sell yarn for hand weaving and yarn for industrial use until the 1980-ties. During the 1970-ties Klippan Yllefabrik was one of Scandinavia's most modern wool spinning plant with about 100 employees.

 

 

 

 

 

In the beginning of the 1990-ties Klippan Yllefabrik started to change its business  towards home textiles. To be able to manage the production and fully control the quality Klippan Yllefabrik bought a wool spinning and weaving plant in Latvia. The 100% own subsidiary Klippan Saule today produce yarn, throws, blankets and fabric.

 

 

 

 

 

We are constantly developing our collection offering unique design's combined with high quality. Our products are sold in over 200 retailers in Sweden and are exported to about 30 countries in the world.
